Shade sail pole
To hang your shade sails, you will need one or more masts. This is the backbone of your shade structure; consider your intended use, wind conditions, and rain.
Screwed onto a tiled terrace or sealed into a concrete base.
Wooden deck: the nicest way is to fix the post base plate under the wooden boards.
While economical, aluminum masts are not designed to withstand high sail tension or strong winds. They absolutely must be guyed for added strength.
Stainless steel, powder-coated steel, and CorTen steel masts are strong, for a durable installation, with very taut sails: ideal for windy locations.
The stronger the wind, the more you need to tighten the sails, and the more you need masts of a good diameter. We also advise you to stay them.
